Aileen Mitchell Lawrimore is a public speaker, a freelance writer and editor, a stay-at-home mom to three kids and a beagle, a fitness instructor at several health clubs and a student at Gardner-Webb University Divinity School. She teaches Sunday school to senior adults, works with children at church, and volunteers at the schools her children attend whenever she can get permission (from her kids).

Aileen graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina in 1986. She married her college sweetheart, Jay, the next year. In 1992, she completed a Masters Degree in Education at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Bones that are Baptist, Faith that is true,

A really good workout and Diet Dew.

Toenails painted professionally,

A porch swing screened in and a biography.

Asheville or Mitford, either will do,

Gatlinburg, Disney World or NCSU.

Otters and rhinos and reading to kids,

Shopping on Ebay and winning the bids.

Starbucks, history, and Nemo with Dory,

A beagle named Charlie and telling a good story.

Family and Friends, both far and near,

It's not earthly treasure, but these she holds dear.

For my 40th birthday, I wanted "my fifteen" all in one place. Here they are. They are my three children plus my biological nieces and nephews and my nieces and nephews in love.
